Frequently asked questions.
What types of clients do you specialize in working with?
I support teens and adults in Idaho who are struggling with anxiety, complex trauma, low self-worth, major life transitions, and postpartum mental health challenges.
While I work with all genders, many of my clients are women or teen girls who feel overwhelmed, dismissed, burnt out, or disconnected from themselves
How do I know if therapy could help my anxiety or panic symptoms?
If your anxiety is affecting your sleep, relationships, school, work, or ability to feel present, therapy can help.
I support clients with:
• overthinking and racing thoughts
• panic attacks
• “freeze” responses
• health anxiety
• burnout and overwhelm
Together, we make sense of your patterns and help your nervous system feel safer and more grounded.
How do I know if I need trauma focused therapy?
You might need trauma-focused therapy when your mind and body start reacting to present day situations as if you’re still living inside past experiences. Stress usually passes once the situation improves. Trauma, however, leaves a “memory imprint” on your nervous system that shows up through triggers, emotional flooding, shutdowns, relationship patterns, or feeling like you’re always bracing for impact.
If your reactions feel bigger than the moment calls for, or if you can’t seem to “think your way out of it,” that’s a sign trauma-informed therapy can help you regulate, release, and rebuild safety from the inside out
Trauma vs Complex Trauma
Analogy; One Wound vs. Scar Tissue
Trauma: A single cut, it hurts, you treat it, it heals.
Complex trauma: A cut that keeps reopening. Over time, the body forms layers of scar tissue, protective, tough, but less flexible. Therapy helps soften that inner scar tissue so you can move freely again.
Do you offer therapy for postpartum depression, anxiety, or intrusive thoughts?
Yes. I support women navigating postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and the intense emotional or physical shifts that happen after birth.
Many new moms feel isolated, overstimulated, or ashamed of their experience — therapy gives you a safe place to process, regulate your nervous system, and ask for help without judgment
Can therapy help with low self-worth or people-pleasing?
Absolutely. Low self-worth often comes from long-term stress, trauma, or being taught to put everyone else first.
In therapy, we explore the roots of your inner critic, challenge the beliefs that keep you small, and help you develop self-compassion, confidence, and healthier boundaries.
Do you work with teens? What issues do you help with?
Yes, I offer therapy for teens (13 and older) dealing with anxiety, self-doubt, academic pressure, trauma, family stress, social overwhelm, and identity changes.
Therapy gives teens a safe and confidential space to talk openly, without fear of judgment or “getting in trouble.”
I’m going through a major life transition. Can therapy help?
Yes. I support clients navigating big changes such as moving, relationship shifts, breakup recovery, college transitions, pregnancy or postpartum, job changes, or entering a new season of life.
Transitions can activate anxiety and old patterns, therapy helps you understand what’s happening and build stability during uncertain times.
What is your therapy style?
My style is warm, relational, and trauma-informed — but also honest and grounding.
I’m here to support you, but I’m also here to gently challenge the patterns or beliefs that keep you stuck.
Clients often say therapy with me feels real, safe, and deeply validating.
How do I schedule a session or consultation?
You can schedule a free consultation directly through my website.
This gives you a chance to ask questions, share what you’re going through, and see if we’re a good fit before starting therapy.
